Siding Repair and Replacement Around West Chester
Gutters are our main business, but water that misses the gutter usually ends up on the wall below. When it has damaged the siding, we can repair or replace that too.
- Often paired with gutter work
- Repair or full replacement
- James Hardie and CertainTeed siding
Can gutter problems damage siding?
Yes. Overflowing or leaking gutters send water down the same stretch of wall every storm, which can stain siding, warp boards, loosen panels and soak the sheathing behind them. Stains below gutter corners or a missing kick-out flashing are common warning signs. Fixing the gutter first stops the damage from coming back.

What we handle
- Replacing damaged siding panels or boards where water has gotten in.
- Kick-out flashing where a roof edge meets a sidewall.
- Trim and fascia repair alongside new gutters.
- Full or partial siding replacement with James Hardie and CertainTeed products.
Do I need a permit to replace siding in West Chester?
It depends on where you live. West Goshen's permit package treats siding replacement as ordinary repair that needs no permit. East Goshen lists siding and stucco work as needing a permit. In the Borough's historic district, siding visible from the street falls under design review. We confirm the rules before scheduling.

Siding in the historic district
Inside the Borough's downtown historic district, siding and stucco work visible from a public street or way comes under the same review as gutters. If the job touches both, we plan them as one application. See our historic district guide.
